Syrian (Teddy Bear) hamster = $ 10Russian Dwarf = $ 16Fancy Teddy Bear Hamsters ( Panda or Black) = $ 20A good cage will be auonrd $ 30-$ 50 bucks. They usually come with a food dish, water bottle, and wheel. On the other hand, you could buy a large tub for $ 5, get a water bottle, food dish, and wheel and make your own huge cage for a hamster. Overall, that should cost auonrd $ 20. When I got my first hamster 2 years ago, You can get hamster food for $ 2.20 at Wal-Mart and it has all the nutrition your hamster needs. If you are uncomfortable buying food at Wal-Mart, hamster food is usually auonrd $ 6 dollars at a pet store. There are several options you can use for bedding. There’s recycled paper, wood shavings, and hay. I usually only need to buy one bag of bedding a month. The cheapest bedding is wood shavings and you can get a bag for $ 5 at Petco. My hamsters never liked using a ball or wood chews. I usually close off areas of my apartment that are dangerous, to let them walk auonrd one at a time of course. They usually eat carrots to wear their teeth down and i give them things like cardboard for that.
